The short version

  1. 01

Zendesk charges per agent: Suite Team is $55 a month billed yearly ($69 monthly), so 5 agents cost $275. Replyze Pro is $55 a month billed yearly ($69 monthly) for up to 5 teammates, and Business is $159 ($199) for up to 15.

  2. 02

Zendesk's AI agent includes 5 automated resolutions per agent a month on Suite Team, then $1.50 each on a commitment or $2.00 pay-as-you-go. Replyze includes 1,000 AI replies a month on Pro and 5,000 on Business, and sends chats to your team when they run out.

  3. 03

Zendesk is a full helpdesk: a help center, Marketplace apps and Copilot for agents. Replyze is an AI agent and a shared inbox, with no public help-center site.

  4. 04

Web chat, email, WhatsApp and Telegram share one Replyze inbox on Pro and Business; Messenger and Instagram are in beta. On Zendesk, Telegram comes through Sunshine Conversations on Suite Professional and up.

  5. 05

Hosting: Replyze runs in Germany; AI replies are generated by Anthropic (USA) under our DPA. Zendesk sells a data center location add-on (US, APAC, EEA or UK).

Which one fits

Neither tool is right for everyone

When we'd point you to each one.

Choose Replyze if…

  • Your team is up to 15 people and wants one price for the workspace, not one per agent.
  • You want AI answers included in the plan rather than billed per resolution.
  • Chat, email, WhatsApp and Telegram in one shared inbox is all the helpdesk you need.

Choose Zendesk if…

  • You need a full helpdesk: a public help center, ticketing across many teams or brands, and Marketplace apps.
  • Your team is bigger than 15, or you need Sunshine APIs or deep Salesforce or ServiceNow integration.
  • You want to choose the data center region: US, APAC, EEA or UK.
  • You want an AI assistant for your agents (Copilot) as well as an AI agent for customers.

What it costs

The price difference, to scale

Zendesk prices each agent, so a team of 5 on Suite Team pays $275 a month billed yearly. That includes 5 automated resolutions per agent a month (25 for the team); each one after that costs $1.50 on a commitment or $2.00 pay-as-you-go. Replyze Pro is $55 a month billed yearly for up to 5 teammates, with 1,000 AI replies included. Past 15 people, Replyze no longer fits and Zendesk does.

A Replyze AI reply is one answer from the AI, so a chat with three answers uses three. Zendesk bills each automated resolution.

What your visitors get

AI first, your team when it matters

  • Answers from your own help articles

The AI answers only from the articles you publish and the answers your team teaches it, in the visitor's language. When the answer isn't there, it says so instead of guessing.

  • A person when it matters

Visitors can tap “Talk to an agent” at any time, and topics your industry setup reserves for the team, such as refunds or complaints, go to a person. Your teammate sees the whole chat and replies in the same window.

  • Chat, email and messaging in one inbox

Web chat on every plan. Email, WhatsApp and Telegram on Pro and Business, with Messenger and Instagram in beta, all in one shared inbox.

Switching

Migrating from Zendesk, step by step

Switch when you're ready

Keep Zendesk running while you set up. Nothing changes for your visitors until you switch the widgets over.

Want a hand moving over?

Export your help articles as a PDF or Word file and Write with AI drafts them for you to review. Questions before you switch? Email us.

[email protected]
  1. 1

Keep a copy of your history

Export your Zendesk tickets and customers for your records. Replyze doesn't import past conversations.

  2. 2

    Install the widget

Paste the Replyze snippet before </body>, or follow the install guide for your platform. Your Zendesk widget keeps working until you remove it.

  3. 3

    Bring your help articles

Paste your help-center articles into Replyze, or upload a PDF or Word export and let Write with AI draft them for you to review. Replyze doesn't sync a help-center URL; your published articles power the AI and the search inside the widget.

  4. 4

    Forward your support email

On Pro and Business, add Email in Settings → Channels and forward your support address to the address Replyze gives you. New emails land in the shared inbox, and replies go back by email in the same thread.

  5. 5

    Invite your team

Invite up to 5 teammates on Pro or 15 on Business. There is no per-agent fee within those limits.

  6. 6

    Switch off Zendesk

Stop new ticket creation in Zendesk when you're confident, and keep the account for as long as you need the old tickets.

FAQ

Questions about switching from Zendesk

Not covered here? Ask in the chat on this page. It's the real Replyze widget: the AI answers from our own help articles, and you can ask for a person at any time.

For a small team that mostly answers chat and email, it can. It doesn't replace a public help center, Zendesk's Marketplace apps, Sunshine APIs, deep Salesforce or ServiceNow integration, or multi-brand setups. Seats stop at 15 on Business, so larger teams should stay on a per-agent helpdesk.

There's no import for macros, triggers or automations. Replyze's AI answers repeat questions from your published articles, and topics your industry setup reserves for the team, such as refunds or complaints, go to a person. If you depend on detailed trigger and automation rules, Zendesk is stronger today.

One shared inbox for both. Every chat and every email becomes a conversation your team can assign, tag, snooze, resolve and reopen, and Business adds SLA policies. There is no public help-center site: your articles power the AI and the search inside the widget on Pro and Business.

Both answer from your own help content. Replyze's AI answers only from the articles you publish and the answers your team teaches it; when the answer isn't there, it says so, and the visitor can ask for a person. It doesn't look up orders or account data. We haven't benchmarked it against Zendesk, so we won't claim either is more accurate. Billing differs: Zendesk includes 5 automated resolutions per agent a month on Suite Team, then $1.50 to $2.00 each, while Replyze includes 1,000 AI replies a month on Pro.

Today you can export your contacts as a CSV file from Settings. Exporting conversations isn't in the dashboard yet.

Let AI answer the questions you get every day

Teach it your answers, pick your colours and add it to your site. When a customer needs a person, your team takes over.
