The short version

  1. 01

Intercom charges per seat: Essential $29, Advanced $85 and Expert $132 a month billed yearly ($39, $99 and $139 monthly), with Essential at $19 for new customers. Fin is extra, from $0.99 per outcome with a minimum commitment.

  2. 02

Replyze includes AI replies in the plan: 1,000 a month on Pro ($55 billed yearly, $69 monthly) and 5,000 on Business ($159 or $199). When they run out, new chats go to your team; there is no overage fee.

  3. 03

Replyze has no per-seat fee, but seats are capped: 5 on Pro, 15 on Business. A bigger team fits Intercom's per-seat plans better.

  4. 04

Both put web chat, email, WhatsApp and Telegram in one inbox. On Replyze, email and the messaging channels are on Pro and Business, and Messenger and Instagram are in beta.

  5. 05

Intercom does more than support chat: product tours, outbound messages, a public help center and a large app marketplace. Replyze is an AI agent and a shared inbox.

Which one fits

Neither tool is right for everyone

When we'd point you to each one.

Choose Replyze if…

  • You want AI answers included in the plan price, not billed per outcome.
  • Your team is up to 5 people (Pro) or 15 (Business).
  • You'd rather have chats go to your team than pay for more AI when the month's replies run out.
  • You want web chat, email, WhatsApp and Telegram in one inbox and don't need product tours.

Choose Intercom if…

  • You rely on product tours and outbound in-app messages.
  • You want a public help center and a large marketplace of ready-made integrations.
  • Your team is bigger than 15, or you need SSO, HIPAA support or multibrand setups (Expert).
  • You want an AI assistant for your agents (Copilot) as well as an AI agent for customers.

What it costs

The price difference, to scale

For 5 seats billed yearly, Intercom Essential is $145 a month ($95 at the new-customer price) and Advanced is $425, before Fin. Fin then adds from $0.99 per outcome, so 300 outcomes is another $297. Replyze Pro is $55 for up to 5 teammates with 1,000 AI replies included. Past 15 people, Replyze no longer fits and Intercom does.

A Replyze AI reply is one answer from the AI, so a chat with three answers uses three. Intercom bills Fin per outcome, as it defines one.

What your visitors get

AI first, your team when it matters

  • Answers from your own help articles

The AI answers only from the articles you publish and the answers your team teaches it, in the visitor's language. When the answer isn't there, it says so instead of guessing.

  • A person when it matters

Visitors can tap “Talk to an agent” at any time, and topics your industry setup reserves for the team, such as refunds or complaints, go to a person. Your teammate sees the whole chat and replies in the same window.

  • Chat, email and messaging in one inbox

Web chat on every plan. Email, WhatsApp and Telegram on Pro and Business, with Messenger and Instagram in beta, all in one shared inbox.

Switching

Migrating from Intercom, step by step

Switch when you're ready

Keep Intercom running while you set up. Nothing changes for your visitors until you switch the widgets over.

Want a hand moving over?

Export your help articles as a PDF or Word file and Write with AI drafts them for you to review. Questions before you switch? Email us.

[email protected]
  1. 1

Keep a copy of your history

Export your Intercom conversations for your records before you cancel. Replyze doesn't import past conversations, so the export is your archive.

  2. 2

    Install the widget

Paste the Replyze snippet before </body>, or follow the install guide for your platform. The Intercom Messenger keeps working until you remove it.

  3. 3

    Bring your help articles

Paste your Intercom articles into Replyze, or upload a PDF or Word export and let Write with AI draft them for you to review. The AI answers only from the articles you publish.

  4. 4

    Forward your support email

On Pro and Business, add Email in Settings → Channels and forward your support address to the address Replyze gives you. New emails land in the shared inbox, and replies go back by email in the same thread.

  5. 5

    Invite your team

Invite up to 5 teammates on Pro or 15 on Business. There is no per-seat fee within those limits.

  6. 6

    Switch off Intercom

Remove the Intercom Messenger once the AI answers your common questions the way you want. Keep your Intercom export for older conversations.

FAQ

Questions about switching from Intercom

Not covered here? Ask in the chat on this page. It's the real Replyze widget: the AI answers from our own help articles, and you can ask for a person at any time.

No. Replyze doesn't import past conversations. Export your Intercom history before you cancel and keep it as your archive; new conversations start in Replyze. Your help articles can come across: paste them in, or upload a PDF or Word export and let Write with AI draft them for you to review.

There's no import for Intercom workflows or bots. Replyze's AI answers repeat questions from your published articles without a decision tree, and visitors can ask for a person at any time. If you depend on multi-step automation such as branching bots or assignment rules, Intercom is stronger today.

Yes. It answers from your own content: the articles you publish and the answers your team teaches it from the inbox. It replies in the visitor's language and, when the answer isn't there, says so instead of guessing. Visitors can tap “Talk to an agent” at any time, and the chat lands in your shared inbox with the AI's part included. We haven't benchmarked it against Fin, so we won't claim either is more accurate. What differs is billing: Fin costs from $0.99 per outcome, while Replyze includes 1,000 AI replies a month on Pro and 5,000 on Business.

Pick Pro or Business and add a card. We place a $1 verification charge and refund it straight away; prepaid cards aren't accepted, and there's one trial per workspace. Cancel from Settings → Billing before day 15 and you pay nothing; otherwise the plan is billed on day 15. Intercom's 14-day trial doesn't ask for a card.

Replyze is hosted in Germany, in a Hetzner data centre certified to ISO 27001. AI replies are generated by Anthropic in the USA under our DPA, so the conversation text the AI answers is processed there. Intercom offers EU or Australian hosting to new workspaces on its Advanced and Expert plans, for customers on a contract.

We're newer and smaller than Intercom. Replyze has no product tours, its integrations are mostly install guides for website builders, past conversations don't import, and seats stop at 15 on Business. If any of those matter to you, Intercom is the safer choice.

Let AI answer the questions you get every day

Teach it your answers, pick your colours and add it to your site. When a customer needs a person, your team takes over.
