Replyze on Joomla
5 steps · Theme or site setting
- 1Switch your editor to CodeMirror or None first (your account → Basic Settings → Editor): the default TinyMCE editor removes script tags.
- 2Go to Content → Site Modules, click New and choose Custom.
- 3Paste the snippet into the content field, hide the module title, and pick a position your template shows on every page, such as footer in Cassiopeia.
- 4On the Menu Assignment tab, choose On all pages.
<script>
window.ReplyzeConfig = {
token: 'wgt_YOUR_TOKEN_HERE',
apiUrl: 'https://client.replyze.chat'
};
</script>
<script src="https://cdn.replyze.chat/widget.js" async></script>Why Replyze for Joomla
Uses Joomla's own Custom module type, with no extension to install.
Works on Joomla 4 and Joomla 5.
Menu Assignment lets you show the chat on every page, or keep it off pages such as a landing page.
The script loads asynchronously, so it doesn't block your page.
Change the widget's look in your Replyze dashboard; the module stays the same.

In practice
How Replyze fits into Joomla
The simplest Joomla install is a Custom module that holds the Replyze snippet. Create it under Content → Site Modules → New → Custom, paste the snippet, hide the module title, place it in a position your template renders on every page (footer works in Cassiopeia), and assign it to all pages. The module outputs the snippet where the position sits, and the widget then adds the chat button to a corner of the screen.
Joomla's default editor, TinyMCE, removes <script> tags, so switch to CodeMirror or None before you paste: in your account's Basic Settings, or as the Default Editor in Global Configuration. If the snippet still disappears when you save, check Global Configuration → Text Filters for your user group.
You can also paste the snippet just before </body> in your template's index.php. Do it in a child template (Joomla 4.1 and later), because Joomla updates replace the files of core templates such as Cassiopeia.

FAQ
Joomla + Replyze, answered
The TinyMCE editor strips <script> tags. Switch your editor to CodeMirror or None, paste the snippet again and save. If it's still removed, your user group's Text Filters in Global Configuration are filtering scripts out.
Yes. On the module's Menu Assignment tab, choose Only on the pages selected or On all pages except those selected, then pick the menu items.
Joomla 3 is end-of-life. The snippet is plain HTML, so the same Custom module approach generally works there too, but the steps on this page are written for Joomla 4 and 5.
Not to download at the moment. A Custom module does the same job with Joomla's own tools.
