Replyze on WordPress

4 steps · Theme or site setting

  1. 1In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for WPCode, then install and activate it. Any plugin that adds code to your site footer works the same way.
  2. 2Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer.
  3. 3Paste the snippet into the Footer box and click Save Changes.
  4. 4Clear your caching plugin's cache if you use one, then reload your site and look for the chat button.
<script>
  window.ReplyzeConfig = {
    token: 'wgt_YOUR_TOKEN_HERE',
    apiUrl: 'https://client.replyze.chat'
  };
</script>
<script src="https://cdn.replyze.chat/widget.js" async></script>

Why Replyze for WordPress

  • One snippet in your site footer. Added with a header and footer code plugin, it stays in place when you update or change your theme.

  • Classic themes, block themes and page builders such as Elementor or Divi need no separate setup: the snippet loads on every page, outside the page content.

  • The script loads asynchronously, so it doesn't block your page.

  • Your knowledge base lives in Replyze: paste in your FAQ and policy pages, or upload a PDF or Word file and let Write with AI draft articles for you to review.

  • On WooCommerce, the AI answers shipping, returns and product questions from your articles. It can't look up orders: with the retail industry setup, "where is my order?" chats reach your team with the order number and checkout email already collected.

Add Replyze to WordPress

Paste the snippet into a header and footer code plugin such as WPCode, or into your child theme's footer.php.

  1. 1

    In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin, search for WPCode, then install and activate it. Any plugin that adds code to your site footer works the same way.

  2. 2

    Open Code Snippets → Header & Footer.

  3. 3

    Paste the snippet into the Footer box and click Save Changes.

  4. 4

    Clear your caching plugin's cache if you use one, then reload your site and look for the chat button.

Snippet to paste

<script>
  window.ReplyzeConfig = {
    token: 'wgt_YOUR_TOKEN_HERE',
    apiUrl: 'https://client.replyze.chat'
  };
</script>
<script src="https://cdn.replyze.chat/widget.js" async></script>

Replace wgt_YOUR_TOKEN_HERE with your widget token, or copy the snippet with your token already in it from Settings → Chat Widget → Install in your Replyze dashboard.

In practice

How Replyze fits into WordPress

There are two good places for the Replyze snippet on WordPress, and both put it just before </body> on every page.

A header and footer code plugin is the simplest. WPCode, for example, adds a Code Snippets menu: paste the snippet into Header & Footer → Footer and save. The code is stored in your WordPress database rather than in your theme, so it survives theme updates and theme switches, and it works the same on classic and block themes.

If you'd rather not add a plugin and you use a classic theme, paste the snippet into footer.php just before </body>, after the wp_footer() call. Do it in a child theme: a parent theme's files are replaced when the theme updates. Block themes have no footer.php, so use a code plugin there.

Caching and optimisation plugins serve stored copies of your pages, so clear their cache after adding the snippet. If the chat button still doesn't appear, check whether a setting that delays or combines JavaScript is holding the Replyze scripts back, and exclude cdn.replyze.chat/widget.js and the ReplyzeConfig script from it.

The AI doesn't read your WordPress pages or posts: it answers from the knowledge base you build in Replyze. Paste in the pages visitors ask about most (shipping, returns, pricing, opening hours), or upload a PDF or Word file and let Write with AI draft the articles for you to review.

What visitors on WordPress get

AI first, your team when it matters

  • Answers from your own help articles

    The AI replies in the visitor's language from the articles you publish and the answers your team teaches it. If the answer isn't there, it says so instead of guessing.

  • A person when it matters

    Visitors can ask for a person at any time, and topics your industry setup marks for the team, such as refunds and complaints, are handed over too. The teammate replies in the same chat, with the whole conversation in front of them.

  • Chat, email and messaging in one inbox

    Web chat on every plan. Email, WhatsApp and Telegram on Pro and Business, with Messenger and Instagram in beta, all in one shared inbox.

FAQ

WordPress + Replyze, answered

The widget script loads asynchronously, so it doesn't block your page: the browser keeps rendering while it downloads. It's served from cdn.replyze.chat, not from your WordPress server.

Yes. The snippet loads site-wide, outside the page content, so pages built with Elementor, Divi or the block editor show the chat the same way. Nothing has to be added inside the page builder.

It answers from the knowledge base you build in Replyze: shipping times, returns, sizing, warranties and the product details you write down. It doesn't connect to WooCommerce, so it can't see live stock levels or look up orders. With the retail industry setup, "where is my order?" chats are handed to your team with the order number and the checkout email already collected.

There's no Replyze plugin to download at the moment. A header and footer code plugin does the same job: it adds the snippet to every page without editing theme files.

Once your WordPress.com plan lets you install plugins, yes: add a header and footer code plugin and paste the snippet into its footer box, as above.

Delete the snippet from the code plugin (or from footer.php) and clear your cache. Your conversations stay in your Replyze account, separate from WordPress.
